To give you a little insight about who I am...I arrived in California to attend the University of San Diego and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in 2002. During that time, I found my area of interest centered on Health Psychology and decided to continue my education focusing on manual and alternative therapies. Since then, I received my Holistic Health Practitioner certification from the Academy of Health Professions in La Mesa, became nationally certified through the NCBTMB and have been certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage through Kate Jordan Seminars. Much of my experience has been working with clients in Chiropractic offices, sports clinics and hospitals as well as in my own private practice. I understand the importance and have seen tremendous results when massage is used to help clients rehabilitate from injury as well as maintain a healthy lifestyle.
No matter what type of massage a person is receiving, from therapeutic deep tissue to relaxing and regenerating, I believe the end result should bring the feeling of starting a brand new day with new life present in every part of their body, soul and spirit!
In addition to Massage Therapy, I am also trained as a Labor Doula through CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). I love working with women in every stage of their pregnancy and am a true believer that massage brings tremendous benefits to a woman as she carries new life, as she labors and delivers her baby, and as she transitions through her postpartum period.
I am also an Apprentice Pilates instructor, receiving my training from Balanced Body University. I have completed my Reformer training and am in the process of completing the Apparatus and Mat training this year.
All in all, I LOVE helping people and am so thrilled to be able to work one on one with clients and see tremendous results in their lives.
